The Hagerman National Fish Hatchery partnered with the National Park Service, Hagerman National Monument, and the Thousand Springs State Park to provide “outdoor” educational experiences to Twin Falls Elementary students in December, 2008.
Cold winter temperatures kept the activities indoors, but provided a welcome break from cabin fever for these students.
The Hatchery presentations highlighted the Hatchery’s steelhead program and presented information on fish anatomy and physiology as well as providing students with the opportunity to dissect a real fish.
